day 2 with old age makeup.

After Igénue makeup, we had a fun workshop on Friday with an old makeup challenge (make you look old, not make up for the elderly). Do we want to look like sixty years old? Of course not. But this is a popular makeup look and it will be very helpful for some people to join the theater as an extracurricular activity for the school since we are in middle and high school it will help a lot because we are all look too young for elderly characters. First, we do basic makeup - Igénue - because this makeup can be considered as a base for all makeup, then we can apply special makeup effects or any look after that. We use some of the specific tools needed to create wrinkles - the key to creating this look - including small brushes for contour and highlight. This look requires patience, meticulous and time to do well. First we lift our eyebrows, squint, frown, etc. to reveal wrinkles that can form on our skin because our skin is not old enough for wrinkles to appear. Next we redraw them with a small contour brush with very thin strokes, and finally the bottom contour with bright highlights. The strokes should be maintained sharp, thin to look more natural but the color must be bold enough. Eyes are a great factor to complete this look. I use a bit of dark brown eyeshadow on the lid and the hollow part of the eye between eyebrows, nose and eyes to make my eyes look deeper. The eye lid part should also be shaded and most importantly the wrinkles at the end of the eye should be done well and carefully. Next, add wrinkles on the nose, eye bags, chin, and wrinkles between the nose and cheeks form when you smile. If I have time maybe I'll try thinning my lips and adding wrinkles on the neck and the corners of the mouth. One thing to note is that you should not mix these strokes together and with foundation, although it looks quite weird when your face appears a lot of stripes. This activity was really a big challenge for me, my result was not so good but I was quite happy with it. We also have limited time to take care of or redo it. But to conclude, this is a useful activity and I'm very excited to try new things next time.
